What is BitPay for? 

BitPay is a leading cryptocurrency payment processor. It enables you to accept payments in Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies, providing your students with a modern and flexible payment option. 

The Uteach integration with BitPay ensures secure, fast, and cost-effective transactions.

What do you need for BitPay integration? 

The only thing you need to integrate BitPay with Uteach is your BitPay token. It can be generated from your BitPay account as you navigate to the API token page. 

To find BitPay integration, follow these steps.

• Log in to your Uteach account.
• Navigate to the Financial tab and Payment Gateway section.
• Choose BitPay from the list of displayed payment gateways.
• Access the BitPay token field and fill it out.

How to use BitPay with Uteach? 

The integration setup will be complete as you enter the token. You will see a success message once Bitpay is set as your payment gateway. Please note that you cannot receive payments with multiple payment gateways simultaneously. 

Besides choosing your payment method, you should also select

• The country. It is the country in which you currently reside, and the choice of country determines the available options for your payment gateway. BitPay is now available in the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and EU countries, among others. 
• The currency you want to receive the payments with. You can choose only one currency and receive all the payments with the currency you select. 

There may be times when you need to refund your students, which can be done effortlessly from your Uteach dashboard. The procedure for issuing refunds is the same no matter which payment gateway you are using.

When payments come in, you can keep track of them using your Uteach online school dashboard. The My Profit section provides detailed insights into product prices, user information, payment statuses, and other relevant details.

FAQ 

How does BitPay handle chargebacks?

One of the benefits of accepting payments with BitPay is that payments can be made with cryptocurrency. Thus, accepting cryptocurrency payments does not include chargebacks with blockchain transactions. While BitPay doesn't impose a refund fee, there may be a network fee involved in processing the refund.

What if my students report issues with payments?

Verify that BitPay is selected as the payment method in your course settings and that your BitPay account is not restricted.

• BitPay documentation, where you can find every necessary detail, including integration guide

Disable BitPay 

If you want to stop receiving payments via BitPay or choose another payment method, follow these steps. 

• Navigate to the Financial tab > Payment Gateway from your dashboard.
• Choose BitPay and click the three dots in the bottom right corner. 
• Click the Delete button. 

After deleting the integration, you will see a confirmation message.
