What is Zapier for?

Zapier is software for automating processes. By connecting with Zapier, you can automate customer support, app data, projects, onboarding processes, social posts, and many more.

By integrating Zapier with Uteach, you can save much time and effort as you automate the actions of more than 7000 apps. More specifically, you will be able to

  • Easily set up automation without any programming knowledge for all your repetitive tasks.
  • Connect Uteach with all your favorite apps and tools through Zapier
  • Create customized workflows (Zaps) that trigger actions based on specific events in Uteach.
  • Keep your apps in sync with real-time updates and automated data transfers.

How to use Zapier with Uteach?

How to Create a Zap?

After inserting the API key and domain in your Zapier account, you will be ready to create Zaps that trigger different actions.

As you enter your Zapier account, you can see the Create Zap button on the left-hand menu. This is where you can trigger an action and automate a certain task. To do so

  • Select Uteach from the app’s list.
  • Choose a trigger event (e.g., new student enrollment, quiz passed, etc.)
  • Select an action app (e.g., Google Sheets) and define the action (e.g., add a new row).
  • Configure the action and test the Zap to ensure it works correctly.

As you add the fields you want, all of them will appear in the Google Sheets.

You can test and review the zap before completing the action. For example, you may want to receive a notification on your Slack channel once a new student is enrolled in a course. Or, you can set up an action to send personalized emails once a student completes the course.

Here is a video tutorial of how you can set up and create your desired action from Uteach on Zapier.

How to Use Zapier Filters?

You can also set up filters before creating any Zaps. These filters help you get more specific with the actions. For example, you may want to include your students in an email list only when they enroll in a particular course. Follow these steps to create a filter.

  • Click the + icon beside the Actions and select Filter
  • Fill in the drop-downs with the information related to your specific action. For example, it can be the name of the course for which you want to carry out the action.

If you want to set the trigger for a group of actions, click the AND filter. In the case you want the action to complete for several filters, select the OR filter.

FAQ

What are the benefits of Zapier automation?

You may turn to Zapier when you have data in two applications, yet the two of them do not integrate directly. And if you need to use the data of one app in the other, you can Make a Zap that automates your specific action.

For example, you prefer to collect all the email addresses of your students in Google Sheets. However, you do not want to do it manually every time a new student enrolls in a course. That is why you may want to Make a Zap that triggers this specific action.

Besides, Zapier will help you make smart business decisions, as you can access analytics on every step of your business.

Does Zapier require coding?

For most of the actions you can complete with Zapier you will not need any coding skills. For example, you can build landing ages, set up AI chatbots, manage data and analytics  without knowing any technical details.

What apps does Zapier support?

Zapier supports about 7339 apps for marketing, productivity, IT operations, business management, sales, support, communications, and more. The most popular apps you can integrate into your Uteach school through Zapier include almost all Google products, MailChimp, Calendly, Notion, and HubSpot.
