13 Podcasts Creator-Entrepreneurs Shall Listen To

There is plenty of noise and not enough direction in the podcasting world. That is why I put together a list of podcasts that are actually worth your time. Each of them teaches you something specific about building a real course business, not just collecting motivational quotes.

These shows can help you see how other course creators think, what strategies work for them, and what mistakes you can avoid. You will hear about course design, marketing, community building, sales, mindset, and the small operational decisions that make everything easier.

If you want to improve your course creation skills, stay updated on industry trends, and learn directly from practitioners, these podcasts will give you practical ideas you can use the same day you hear them.

Let us get into the list.

#1 Course Creators HQ...All About Online Courses

If you need guidance on building and selling online courses, you can find it with Julie. And if you want clarity, structure, and a few shortcuts along the way, this show will save you a lot of trial and error.

Julie shares practical tips, useful resources, and simple systems you can apply immediately. She mixes strategy with real stories and examples, which keeps the episodes encouraging.

Recent episodes cover topics that most creators struggle with, including

  • why no one is clicking your buy button,
  • mindset challenges that slow down your progress,
  • stories that course creators tell themselves that keep them stuck.

A great episode to begin with is “You Did Not Fail. Here Is What Happened with Your Launch.” Julie talks through why disappointing launch results are normal and why even experienced creators deal with them. She shares ten questions you should ask yourself to understand what went wrong during the course launch and what to adjust next time.

#2 #IDIODC Instructional Designers In Offices Drinking Coffee

Instructional Designers In Offices Drinking Coffee is a good choice if you are interested in instructional design and want honest conversations about what actually happens behind the scenes.

It is hosted by Paul Schneider and Chris Van Wingerden from dominKnow, and they bring a practical, down-to-earth perspective to the challenges L&D teams face every day. They unpack real headaches like workflows, stakeholder expectations, content delivery, and the pressure to show measurable impact.

For example, the recent episodes cover topics like

  • blending learning science with AI,
  • improving visual design for better learning outcomes,
  • building goal-based learning experiences

If you want a strong episode to start with, listen to “Beyond Engagement Theater: What Drives L&D Performance.” It features Clark Quinn, who breaks down the difference between surface-level engagement and meaningful learning.

#3 The Profitable Coach Podcast

The Profitable Coach Podcast is a practical and inspiring listen if you want to build a coaching business that actually makes money. It is hosted by Kimberly Rich, who has a very genuine presence. She keeps every conversation grounded, curious, and focused on what coaches can apply right away. If you want to hear real stories from people who built their coaching businesses step by step, this podcast is a strong choice.

Each episode breaks down the strategy, psychology, and mindset behind successful coaches. Kimberly is good at asking the kind of questions that reveal the small decisions, habits, and experiments that make a coaching business work.

She brings out the unique angles each coach used to stand out in their niche, which makes the show very relatable if you are still figuring out your own direction.

The conversations stay authentic, and the tips usually translate into quick actions you can test in your own coaching practice.

A good episode to start with is “IMPACT MEMBER Arnela Karat: Unlocking Your Unique Purpose.” Arnela shares her transition from the private sector and politics into coaching, and the conversation highlights the power of bringing your personal story into your niche.

They talk about how she identified her ideal clients, how she uses tools like the Ikigai GPT to help people find clarity, and how AI can support coaching operations and content creation. It is a very helpful episode if you want to position yourself more clearly and build a coaching business that reflects who you are.

#4 Level Up Your Course Podcast with Janelle Allen

Level Up Your Course Podcast with Janelle Allen is a rich resource if you want to understand how real online courses are built and improved. Janelle comes from an Instructional Design background, and you can feel that depth in every episode.

Instead of talking about online courses as passive income machines, she focuses on learning design, student outcomes, and the systems that make a course truly effective. The conversations highlight both success and struggle.

The format is interview-driven. Janelle talks to course creators, agency owners, CEOs, founders, and educators who built meaningful learning products. She also shares her own frameworks from nearly a decade of consulting. You will hear discussions about engagement strategies, onboarding processes, video and audio structure, automation, group programs, social media, etc.

The episodes were recorded several years ago, but the content is still relevant. Some of the recent ones cover topics like

  • whether YouTube is worth it for course creators,
  • how to make podcasting work for your business,
  • approaches to community building.

A strong episode to start with is “Take Control of Your Online Presence with Louise Henry.” Louise shares how she built Solopreneur Sidekick and why owning your digital presence is non-negotiable for course creators. They discuss how she teaches non-technical entrepreneurs to build professional websites, how she approaches sales, and what she learned from her digital nomad lifestyle.

It is a helpful episode if you want to strengthen your online foundation and present your course business more confidently.

#5 The Art of Selling Online Courses

The Art of Selling Online Courses is a podcast that gets straight to the point: how to actually sell more courses. If you want insights from people who have built real revenue in the online course world, this one delivers. The host is knowledgeable, the guests are experienced, and the conversations focus on sales, marketing, and the practical decisions that move a course business forward.

Each episode features successful course creators and entrepreneurs who break down what worked for them, what failed, and what strategies moved the needle. The show is especially helpful if you want to understand how top performers think and make decisions.

Recent episodes include stories about

  • building a course business at just 18 years old,
  • finding your true audience,
  • developing a course strategy that works even without complicated funnels.

A great episode to start with is “How To Build An Audience That Actually Buys.” In this conversation, Sinem Günel shares how she built a six-figure writing business by focusing on one powerful idea: people who buy once are dramatically more likely to buy again. Instead of chasing large audiences that never convert, she teaches coaches and consultants to start with small, low-ticket offers and build trust from there.

The episode covers how to nurture existing buyers, how to overcome the confidence gap that stops many creators from selling high-ticket offers, and why some clients prefer paying more for less content.

#6 Creator Science

Creator Science is one of the most useful podcasts if you want to understand how creators actually grow without relying on luck. It is hosted by Jay Clouse, a Signal Award winner.

He looks at what works, why it works, and how you can repeat it in a sustainable way. If you enjoy evidence-based strategies or you prefer learning from real experiments, you will appreciate this podcast.

The format is interview-driven. Jay brings on creators like James Clear, Ali Abdaal, Tim Urban, and Codie Sanchez. The conversations focus on the experiments they are running, the data they track, and the systems they use to grow an audience and build revenue, and so much more.

What I like is how genuine the conversations are. Jay asks thoughtful questions that guide guests to share the parts of their process that most people hide. He also interacts with the audience well and addresses the practical questions creators deal with every day.

The recent episodes cover topics like

  • helping a YouTuber launch a membership,
  • reviewing the best and worst income streams for creators,
  • breaking down how a community-driven business is built

If you want a specific episode to begin with, start with the conversation titled “From self-publishing to traditional and becoming a NYT best-seller | Pat Flynn.” They talk about the realities of traditional publishing, the book launch strategy, using connections wisely, and how podcast guesting helped boost visibility. You will also hear about productivity, avoiding burnout, and a few surprising crossovers between hobbies and entrepreneurship.

#7 The Course Creator Show

The Course Creator Show is a solid pick if you want advice about building an online course business that does not take over your entire life. It is hosted by Gemma Bonham Carter, an online business strategist who has worked with thousands of entrepreneurs. She focuses on helping creators build revenue without burning out. If you want a mix of strategy, real examples, and practical direction, this podcast fits well into your learning routine.

Gemma keeps the format flexible. Some episodes walk you through the backend of her own seven-figure business, while others highlight real case studies from creators using digital products successfully.

She is very direct, and the advice usually comes with numbers, examples, and the exact steps someone took to get a result. Listeners often point out that her tips are actionable and that she actually knows what she is talking about. The real-world examples help a lot because you get to see the difference between theory and what creators are doing today.

The recent episodes include stories like

  • how a food photographer approached Black Friday,
  • how another creator made $51K with a particular strategy,
  • why Gemma removed her own Black Friday plan this year

If you want somewhere to start, go with the episode “Playing The 7 Figure Business Long Game.” Gemma talks about the early years of her business, the slow pace of blogging, why she never had a viral post, and why that actually worked in her favor. She also walks through the habits that separate sustainable business builders from people who burn out quickly. The takeaways are about consistency, essential reps, and building a mindset that supports long-term growth.

It is a clear picture of how she thinks about business and why her approach works.

#8 Entrepreneurs on Fire

Yes, we smoothly transitioned to entrepreneurship now. For any business owner, including course businesses, it is always useful to understand how entrepreneurs think.

Entrepreneurs on Fire is hosted by John Lee Dumas, who has been running this show for years and has built a huge audience with it. He brings on founders from every industry and walks through how they grew, what decisions they made, and what actually worked for them. If you want fast-moving episodes that get straight to the point, you will probably enjoy this one.

There is always a clear takeaway, which is why many listeners say the show never disappoints. Of course, not everyone agrees with every guest or every opinion he shares, but that is normal with a show that has run for hundreds of episodes. The value is in the variety.

The recent episodes cover topics like

  • how entrepreneurs replaced a six-figure income with a four-hour workweek,
  • how a CEO built their company from scratch
  • what strategies do people use to scale their business

If you want a good episode to start with, try “The New System to Launch an Online Business” with Aurelian Amacker. They talk about picking a niche without overthinking it, the importance of coaches who actually listen, and the value of taking action even when you do not feel ready. One of the main points is simple: get into conversations with potential customers, take a few risks, and learn from real interactions.

#9 Youpreneur

Youpreneur: The Profitable Personal Brand Expert Business is a great place to start if you want to build your personal brand as an entrepreneur, know more about how to create, launch, and market your digital products, and monetize your expertise in general.

The podcast is hosted by Chris Ducker, who is a serial entrepreneur and business coach with years of practical experience working with creators and small business owners. His focus is simple.

He helps people understand how to turn their expertise into a real business that grows without draining their energy. If you are trying to package your skills into offers, create online products, or position yourself as the go-to person in your niche, this podcast will give you a very realistic path.

Recently, the experts were interviewed on topics like

  • transforming a side hustle into a six-figure business,
  • building a personal brand with the right messaging,
  • scaling a profitable podcasting business.

If you want a good place to start, listen to “Your Audience Already Exists. Serve Them.” Chris talks about a new project he is working on, the mindset block that stops most people from launching new content, and the switch you need to make to overcome that block.

#10 The Side Hustle Show

The Side Hustle Show is one of the most practical podcasts you can listen to if you want business ideas that actually work in the real world. It is hosted by Nick Loper, the founder of Side Hustle Nation, and he keeps things focused on simple systems that help you earn more without overcomplicating your life.

If you want new ideas for online businesses, more about sales funnels, marketing, and freelancing, this podcast will give you a steady flow of options and ideas.

The format is most of the time interview-driven, but Nick has a style that makes the conversations feel organized and useful. He asks his guests very targeted questions and recaps the main points before moving on to the next topic.  Nicke’s personality also comes through in a genuine way. He listens closely, highlights the details that matter, and always pulls out the steps listeners can apply.

Recently, the podcast has covered topics like

  • online businesses you can start with almost no money,
  • creative side hustles that generate real income,
  • marketing tips submitted by the show listeners, and a breakdown of what is working

If you want a strong starting point, listen to the episode titled “Growing an Online Business to $100k a Month.” It features Jennifer Marx, who turned a small crafting blog into a six-figure per month business. You will hear how she found initial traction, what drives her traffic today, why she committed to blogging as her main platform, and how she grew an email list.

#11 The Copywriter Club Podcast

No matter if you already have a team or prefer to manage the copy for the business yourself, copywriting skills are essential for any entrepreneur.

I recommend listening if you want to understand copywriting not only as a skill, but as an industry. It is hosted by Rob Marsh and Kira Hug, who bring on top copywriters, strategists, and creative entrepreneurs to share ideas, habits, and systems “worth stealing”. If you want to improve your writing, understand how messaging works, or learn how successful copywriters build their businesses, this podcast will give you a strong foundation.

What I appreciate most is how intentional Rob and Kira are with their questions. They guide each guest into the practical details, not the surface-level advice. They ask about real decisions, real mistakes, and the processes that lead to better copy. Because of that, every episode feels like a mini workshop.

You also get a better understanding of the market and the people shaping it, which is very helpful if you want to position yourself in a competitive space.

Some of the latest episodes include:

  • an email masterclass,
  • creating stronger customer journeys,
  • structuring newsletters that actually convert.

I recommend the episode called “Hacking the Human Mind with Michael Aaron Flicker.” It covers psychological shortcuts and mental triggers that influence how people make decisions, based on his book “Hacking the Human Mind.” The conversation breaks down why understanding human behavior is one of the most valuable skills and brings experiments as examples.

#12 The Online Course Coach

The next podcast I wanted to include in our list has not been updated in recent years. Yet, since it is practical, I decided you may want to give it a go. It is hosted by Jeff Long, who has been in the online course space since the 2000s and understands both the strategy and the tech behind a solid learning experience.

If you are the type who wants clearer systems, better marketing, or you simply want to understand how the backend of your course platform affects the student experience, you will find something useful here.

Jeff talks about everything related to course creation, from planning out your curriculum to the tools you need to deliver it. He also dives into the marketing side. There are episodes about promoting your course, improving your website, and choosing the right LMS

The format changes depending on the topic. Sometimes he hosts experts. Other times, he shares his own experience. What I like here is that he keeps the interviews highly practical. And you can actually read the summary of the episodes before listening to them.

The latest episodes you will see include topics like

If you want to start with one episode, I recommend starting with “How to 10x Your Online Course Business”. Here, Jeff highlights the importance of networking, planning the growth, and the right systems and software you need to scale your online course business.

#13 The eLearning Coach Podcast

The eLearning Coach is a podcast I recommend if you want to understand how learning actually works. It is hosted by Connie Malamed, who is the founder of Mastering the Instructional Design.

If you are interested in learning science, visual communication, or improving how your students absorb and apply information, this podcast will be like a mini workshop for you.

The format is mainly interview-based. Connie brings on specialists from different fields. You will hear from instructional designers, developers, authors, researchers, and professors. The conversations are structured in a way that lets you take the ideas and immediately connect them to real course scenarios.

The recent episodes cover topics like

  • designing for all learners,
  • using marketing principles to improve training,
  • exploring the use of AI-generated podcasts in learning environments

If you want a starting point, go for the episode titled “Use Data and Analytics to Level Up Your Instructional Design.” It is an interview with Megan Torrance, who breaks down the key principles in simple language. The focus is on workplace learning and corporate training, but you can get a sense of how to use the data to improve your programs in general.

If you want to grow as an online course creator, listening to the right voices can save you years of trial and error.
